Freedom on the run: my mobile trading station

One of the advantages of day trading is the flexibility and freedom to trade from anywhere in the world with internet access. To do this it is necessary to have some mobile hardware that allow you to trade as if you were in your trading station at home or your office.

Laptop

The laptop I use for my mobile trading station is an Alienware 17 R5 VR Ready 17.3″ LCD Gaming Notebook. This is a powerful 17-inch gaming laptop with NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 10-Series graphics and Tobii Aware software. You really don´t need a very powerful laptop but I chose this one because of its big screen and because I work with very resource demanding video editing software for my day trading recaps. The Acer Aspire E 15 E5-576G-5762 15.6-Inches is also a not so expensive good option for day trading.

Screens

To watch different stocks during the trading session I use ASUS MB169B+ 15.6″ Full HD 1920×1080 IPS USB Portable Monitors, they are very slim and light USB monitors with a sleek and metallic finish that need just one USB cable for both its video signal and power to deliver up to a Full HD resolution.

Laptop Docking Station

I use the Plugable USB 3.0 Universal Laptop Docking Station for Windows (Dual Video HDMI & DVI/VGA, Gigabit Ethernet, Audio, 6 USB Ports) because these USB screens drain the laptop battery.

Mouse

I use a Redragon M601 Wired Gaming Mouse and a VicTsing Mouse Pad with Stitched Edge, A nice feature of this mouse is that it has a weight tuning system with 8 x 2.4g weights that allows you to fine tune and to customize the inertia of the mouse for your individual setup and overall usage.

Bag

To take all my gear I use a Kroser 18″ Laptop Bag Premium Laptop Briefcase, it fits up to 17.3 laptops.
